ALTOONA, WI (May 19) - Wilson Race Fuels has enhanced its 2006 contingency sponsorship program with the WISSOTA Promoters Association.

In addition to the payouts for the 2006 national Rookies of the Year, Red Wing, MN has added an additional bonus: a $500 cash to the top overall first-year driver in WISSOTA.

Wilson Race Fuels, owned by Mike Wilson since 1980 after his father formed the company in 1953, is centrally located in WISSOTA and serves racers across the Midwest as well as around the world.

Wilson’s company stepped forward in 2005 and sponsored the “Extreme Performance Plus Racing Oil Rookie of the Year” awards in WISSOTA. All seven rookies this year received a $600 check from Wilson Race Fuels during the WISSOTA awards banquet in St. Cloud, MN.

Along with the awards doled out to the top rookies, Wilson Race Fuels will award a total of $1,500 in product certificates to each rookie’s engine builder ($300 to each builder).

The sponsorship coincided with the company’s Extreme Performance Plus 15W-40 performance racing oil. By taking 20 years of experience in fuels and lubricants and combining it with feedback from engine builders, race teams and drivers, Wilson created a race-proven, thermally stable based oil with a proprietary finger-print blend of highly protective additives to shield against excessive temperatures, engine wear and provide a lower coefficient of friction than any other racing oil.

Wilson also wanted to welcome some new dealers of the XP Racing Oil: Lou Fegers Racing Equipment of Delano, MN; B&B Race Engines of Appleton, WI; D&C Racing, Rice Lake, WI; Mielke Oil Company, Little Falls, MN; and Advantage Lubricants, Rochester, MN.
